Why did you ruin each story from this universe

So this was the Witcher’s version of the little mermaid but done better than what Disney did recently!

The most beautiful and sentimental piece in The Witcher books is the story of Geralt and Essi, the only person whom Geralt TRULY loved. But somehow, they still managed to butcher the story, even removing one of the most interesting and beautiful gestures Geralt ever had; which was to give Essi a pearl; and by removing that, they removed by extension the true meaning behind that gesture and how Essi reacted to it. This movie is just...generic. Like a fanfic of The Witcher series, with some character or the other, and nothing more. Animation was meh. The only positive thing was Doug Cockle as the voice of Geralt. Besides that, completly forgettable; better to just read the short story. P.S: Don't have anything against the actress that gave the voice to Essi, but that accent was truly horrendous. Don't know if it is her natural voice or was something created, but it was very distracting and annoying; which esentially broke the magic behind Essi's character
