Sinopsis
Omar, un joven inglés de origen paquistaní, empieza a dirigir la lavandería de su tío con la ayuda de Johnny, un antiguo compañero de clase, el típico hooligan inglés que no quiere trabajar y se dedica a amenazar a los inmigrantes. Además de dirigir la lavandería, Omar y Johnny reanudan la amistad que los unía cuando eran estudiantes. Su relación de amantes profundamente enamorados escandaliza a sus respectivas familias.

Not often do you see lgbt poc representation so the fact that this was actually made in 1985 (i thought it was from the early 2000s set in the 80s for some reason) is shocking, same with the fact that there’s little to no gay trauma shown (a good thing because even today lots of films explicitly show queer hate crimes in a way that can retraumatize queer people). Overall I liked it.

Rather unusual for an 80s film with gay characters in that nobody gets or dies of AIDS. It's not even depressing.
