Highly recommend. A great movie. This is more aimed at a comedy theme than horror/thriller like the first one which means this is more family friendly but there is a couple of scenes thats not but thats ok as those are not too graphic. So if you were unable to watch the first one because of its nature you can now watch this one. This is an amazing movie that will be watched a lot which is already on my favourite list even before it was released. A great movie to watch while spending time with family and friends, creating new memories together and for ourselves. Thank you.
So they actually made the movie that the internet was pretending the first movie to be this time around. No longer are we watching a horror movie, this is a techno thriller with strong accents of PG Tiktok camp. The end result is so stupid and obnoxious that I’ll be very surprised if it doesn’t have a _Showgirls_ type fanbase in 15 years. The plot is basically a _T2_ ripoff, swapping out the two Terminators for dolls that look like Sabrina Carpenter and Kylie Minogue. Yeah, it’s very aware of how to pander to the crowd that liked the first movie. You could easily call it out as cynical, but at least it’s more assured in what it wants to be. Does that also mean it’s too lame for my adult man brain to handle? Of course, this only works as a ‘camp’ movie in the juvenile, terminally online sense of the word. It’s not _T2_ to _M3gan’s Terminator_, it’s _Batman and Robin_ to _M3gan’s Batman Forever_. On top of that, no effort has been made to improve the filmmaking, acting, heavy amounts of exposition or overwrought social commentary from the first movie, all that stuff is still dogshit. Any sequence that’s meant to thrill or excite comes across as tame, we can’t potentially upset the Chinese algorithms with viral clips containing blood or violence after all. Overall, this is so embarrassing that I’m kinda proud that a company as bland as Blumhouse made it. It’s probably the movie that will force them to produce a gazillion more formulaic horror films for 13 year olds, but it’ll all have been worth it. It truly is a piece of infantilizing cringe for the ages. 1/10
Memes couldn't save this one.
I so wanted this to be fun. Yet I was bored 95% of the film. Sure I had a few laughs but honestly this could have been so much better.
Is it just me, or does Megan sound like GLaDOS in this movie? They. really improved upon the first movie and made an awesome sequel. Well done!
