Strangely, no comments yet. This is one of the, in my opinion, best adventure movies. It is based on real events and, like usual with this kind, takes some artistic liberties. Doesn't take away from the acting and photography which proves, once again, that real locations beat CGI 10 out of 10 when it comes to aging. Of course you can see that the lions are not real but they are made very well and they are a scary adversary. And, to be honest, I found myself a bit on the lions side as they were just defending their habitat against men.
This is an amazing movie. I come back to it often.
Just watched it again, after not having seen it for years. Still a great movie. Yes, it does take some artistic liberties, but stays mostly true to the original events that inspired it. Still to think those two lions actually existed and evaded hunters for so long is astounding.
Two lions are serial killers.
Categorized as horror, not actually horror. Sigh.
Why exactly didn't they set up traps at the lions den after finding it??
