[Movistar+] Another visually daring story based on a chronicle of Spain's division from the establishment of the Republic, the outbreak of the Civil War, the Transition, and the present day, in which families are once again at odds due to their political convictions. It does so by tracing the destinies of two children born on the same day, who meet and reunite like the flow of the Manzanares River, their lives intertwined in ways that are both violent and romantic. There's a style reminiscent of Robert Zemeckis's later films, with long takes that link time and space, but like his work, it fails to transcend the artificiality of its premise.
