The massacre scene in the church should be considered a classic moment in Chinese cinema history. • In terms of pacing, the dramatic scenes are better than the action scenes, with the latter half being consistently better than the first. • The film has grandeur and atmosphere, but compared to its spectacle, the story's content is not as refined.
