“G20” promises much but delivers little. Despite a talented cast, including Viola Davis and Antony Starr, the film is marred by a weak script and poor direction. The plot, centered around a terrorist takeover at the G20 summit, feels like a generic “Die Hard” knockoff with a “girlboss” twist. The action scenes are poorly executed, with excessive cuts and rushed editing that detract from any potential tension. The dialogue often sounds like it was crafted for a focus group, making the characters feel one-dimensional and unrealistic. Overall, “G20” is a forgettable, preachy film that fails to deliver on its promising premise.
A fun and enjoyable movie with viola davis proving herself to be a legit action star.
Sorta like a cheap copy of olympus has fallen. Had high hopes for the movie but was disappointed throughout.
20 countries with their presidents and security team, all taken hostage by a considerably small group of people and guess who defeats them all? the president
oh no, after the preview I had high expectations, but the scripting, acting and the realization are simply bad, even stupid for such a G20 summit. On top a mediocre black MILF, disguised as a president, who trains Asian fighting techniques during her term of office, masters all combustible situations in a self-sacrificing and brave manner! seriously i couldn't finish this movie and stop it after the half of playing time! Voting poor `[4/10]`
Nice to see a female president kicking ass - a fun premise. Movie is not great at all unfortunately and it had trouble keeping me captivated. Reminiscent of bad 80s action flicks. Score is particularly terrible…
