Ichinomiya Shingo, an everyday twenty-five-year-old office worker, wakes up as Wendelin, the 8th son of an impoverished noble family out in the sticks. He soon despairs at his lack of succession rights and knowledge to navigate the political world, but finds hope in his aptitude for magic. This is the story of that young man earning his keep and his freedom through magic, with no world saving involved, and spending quite a while escaping his solitude. Ultimately, it is also the story of him being unable to escape the shackles of society.

One of the worst anime of this season. Every single problem was solved without doing anything and the main protagonist lives a happy life without any tension from the beginning. Story was a bit good but the plot totally ruined it. Plus there was no need for the side characters whatsoever. I won't recommend anyone to watch this.
I like this show but it's like the Entourage of Fantasy Anime. Main Character lives a charmed life and anything that goes wrong is fixed quickly and cleanly. It's not terribly deep or intricate. Just a surface story that has a satisfying bite sized show. Perfectly fine to shut off your brain for a bit.
Frikken nobles. Always trying to kill each other.. good little series with a poor noble son that’s gone op and even has to fight his own family in the process.
I'm rewatching some of my 7's while waiting for the current anime season to end (so I can binge), and this one was next up on the list. The MC is likable, and it's nice that he's not afraid of women and ends up very quickly engaged. Unfortunately, the character development for the rest of his team is basically non-existent. The artwork is about average, but the animation is below average. There are a couple cool instances of magic use, but there could have been so many more moments if they had more money. One of the worst examples was ancillary characters discussing a battle that the MC is fighting in, but we never get to see a second of it! I'll leave my initial rating, but if I was to rate it now, it would probably be a 6.
The idea was appealing but why make it an isekai? It doesn't add any value to the story. The animation is horrible and the harem thing quite horrendous.
