Life: it's literally all we have. But is it any good?
A review of a movie, or a restaurant, or a car—or whatever else that typically falls under a critic's domain—is all well and good, and can even be helpful at times. But how can one find out about myriad other experiences that are never tackled in reviews? Enter Forrest MacNeil, a critic who goes beyond overviews of life's more-common subjects—way beyond—to satisfy the curiosity of others: The adrenaline rush of stealing; the danger of drug addiction; the delight of sleeping with a celebrity. MacNeil tries anything suggested by viewers of his TV show, then presents a 1-to-5-star review. But his unwavering commitment to experiencing intense adventures means he must deal with the unintended consequences of such a goal.

This is the best show ever.
It's good! Really really good!
Review was one of those hidden gems that completely slipped past me until I finally sat down with it—and I’m glad I did. The concept alone is brilliant: a critic who “reviews” life experiences instead of movies or products, diving headfirst into increasingly absurd situations. What starts as simple, funny scenarios in Season 1 quickly spirals into chaotic, darkly hilarious territory, yet the show somehow maintains a consistent thread of story and character through all the madness. It’s sharp, weird, and endlessly creative, with a perfect balance of satire and sincerity. Plus, with short episodes and a tight overall run, it’s an easy binge that’s well worth the time. If you want to laugh until it hurts, watch Review.
One of the biggest and best surprises of the year. I discovered the series here at Trakt, and as it doesn't cost to try it, I started watching it quickly and finished the 1st Season and now I'm going to start the 2nd, which has only improved in quality! The perspective that the series tries to give us is excelete, a kind of parody of me, as reviewer. The main actor of the series is a "reviewer" but not of films, nor series, nor games, but of life ... any doubts that you have he has tries to answer! From 0 to 5 when you rate being addicted to cocaine, don't you know? He answers! **Life is any good?** ---- 2.3 points -> Acting and Characters (0-3) 1.7 points -> Plot development (0-2) 1.4 points -> Cinematography (0-2) 0.9 points -> originality (0-1) 0.8 points -> Based on Genre / Theme (0-1) 0.8 -> Overall Quality (0-1) Aka. 7.9 points (*this rating is still on the works)
