This was a decent show held back by an extremely boring MC. Due to how he was raised, the MC is OP, but he thinks he's underpowered. It's the kind of bit that's funny at first, but then they take it too far and run the joke for too long, and it becomes tiresome. The artwork was average, as was the animation. Though the animation definitely dips to below average at some points, with them choosing to use some dirty tricks during some fight scenes instead of animating the actual action. There are some occasional moments of magic ingenuity which probably saved this from being a 6 instead of a 7 for me, but it was definitely toeing the line. There is also little to no development for the side characters in his new party, which hopefully will be addressed in season 2 if it's renewed. If the MC can evolve a bit more, I'm down to watch more of this, but if the next season is in line with the first, then my rating will drop.

It's your typical story but I'm kind of enjoying it, a bit corny but good enough to watch when your free.

a subpar anime you can half pay attention to while you play videogames or study.

Some mid “overpowered” mc with predictable plot and mid or i can say low budget animation

Definition of a “mid” anime. The MC holds the story back from ever getting better with his constant self-deprecation, which gets boring and cringe really quickly, as others have mentioned. On top of that, the usual tropes and clichés in every episode don’t help this anime at all. It’s missing that drive you get from better shows where you just want to click “next episode” right away. Still, it’s the kind of isekai you can just turn your brain off and watch when you’ve got nothing else to do, and you’ll be somewhat content—just don’t expect to remember the story a month later. The animation is underwhelming as well, but I’d still take bad animation over a bad story any day.
