Such a surprising piece of television. Sci fi, drama, horror (maybe?), thriller. All without using the word vampire or any special affects. If you are watching the plethora of space exploration of special creatures featured in current tv adaptations, this might be for you, so give you a historical context.
This was absolutely fantastic. One of the best interpretations of vampire lore I've ever seen. It was way ahead of it's time, incredibly unique and intelligent. The best and most fascinating thing about this series is that you barely see any vampires, despite the entire show revolving around them. The story does a brilliant job of keeping an ominous tone, making the viewer fear the "threat" of vampires, that you really don't need to see the enemy in action. If the show came out maybe 5-10 years later it may have found a more mainstream audience. I would have loved to see this universe explored deeper and fleshed out fully.
Like a prequel to True Blood, in England. It even features Stephen Moyer, and discussion about synthetic blood. There is also a nod to Impact Winter. Featuring a stellar cast of now very established names. The script, while entertaining could be a bit more exciting.
