A new era of Hogwarts begins.
There is nothing special about Harry Potter - at least that's what his Aunt Petunia always says. On his 11th birthday, a letter of admittance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry opens up a hidden world for Harry: one of fun, friendship and magic. But with this new adventure comes great risk as Harry is forced to face a dangerous enemy from his past.

Removed it from my Watchlist when I saw the casting. While watching, I would constantly be reminded of the show creators' political opinions, and I'm good on that; I prefer immersion.

I'd love me some more Whimsical British Wizardry in the HP universe, but re-hashing the same beloved story again isn't *more*, in a really substantive manner... Why not have Blue Bloods but British Wizards? (Follow ~~Harry~~ likeable young Auror and family doing wizard cop things episodically, with a bit of a larger-spanning plot against a Death Eater resurgence or something) Or Eureka but British Wizards? (Have ~~Harry~~ likeable young Auror be the resident Auror of a sleepy little village that's actually a hotbed of magical shenanigans and he sometimes feels like *he's* the only sane one there, and has to go around getting into hijinks and cleaning up after everyone else) Why not tell the story of their children defeating the next big bad, or *literally* anyone else's story and struggles and character growth and worldview to explore? Maybe in like... 30-50 years time, I could see a refresh of the 'main' story being interesting, with all the fancy new effects and whatnot, but *now* is just too soon... We've already got a great set of movies that cover it very well and still hold up today. Now's the time to be telling *new* stories!
Supposed to be more faithful than the movies. Then they do like it or else casting for Snape. Pretty dumb.
One of the best fantasy stories. Can't wait.
