In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno's determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka's promise to join Mina and protect humanity.

If this anime lives up to the manga this is about to be an amazing ride I cant wait.
SHOULD NOT BE MISSED!!! Best Anime of 2024 and it's one of the few anime's that keeps me on the edge of my seat waiting week to week for each episode. One of the few times I think the anime is as good as the manga, if not better. Must watch!
Trakt is wrong, we are on season 2 now. So far so good, last episode had a great flashback for Kikoru. It really fleshes her out more as a character and we start to see just how powerful Gen Narumi really is. All in all love the show and hope it goes farther than the manga did. (Sure, it would be non canon, but still pretty interesting) [spoiler] The small problem I have is I think in the manga during the flashback we see Kikoru's mother talk to her father about training Kikoru and by training her she would need him to stand by their daughter as by training her she would have to become cold and cruel towards their daughter. This explains why the general is so tough on her. Because she isn't there to train their daughter and being soft would just kill Kikoru. so the flashback also shows how the mothers death affected and changed Isao [/spoiler]
Absolutely loved this series. Power suits, power users, and comedy in a world plagued by Kaijus.. my main man never gives up! We better get a season two.
