Xiang Yun was originally a cloud, but was turned into a fairy by Yue Laodian, and started working in Yue Lao Pavilion. Chu Kong is a disciple of the Uri Xingjun constellation. He strayed into Yue Lao Pavilion and was treated as a villain. Chu Kong accidentally broke Xiang Yun's fan, so the two quarreled and accidentally messed up the red string, which led to the marriage of the three worlds. The Jade Emperor knew about the chaos, and his punishment to them was that they could not go back to heaven until after the seven lives of love, and so their story began.

This is a decent watch ; although Ding Yuxi carried all the romance ; his each character is named same but has different personalities and emotions while Yang Chaoyue has different names but just doll like emotions in all the characters. **The best lifetimes are in order (for the drama):** 1. The animal lifetime (Hilarious and voiced very well) 2. The Demon lifetime (mostly for Ryan Ding living the role and changing his mannerisms in every single way playing it). 3. The Sect lifetime Almost 1 for 1, but then went off the rails a bit towards the end. but this is where they fall in love again deeply and connected 4. The flashback couple lifetime (Cang hai & Ming Yue) 5. The Childhood Friends (General sacrifices with childhood love and we always knew when a price is involved there is no happy ending) 6. Princess/General This was cut in half from the original, so didn't have the gravitas, but I understand they had to cut it likely because of censorship since this involved them starting tribulation after adulthood but would have made some steamy romance and sits well right after Sect Life what about the 7th life ? well thats the Fairy & War God ~~ The character I hated the most was Xiu Ming. I hated his ending too, he literally stalked the female main character across lifetimes. *Stop redeeming stalker characters~~* . When someone is trying to "rescue" you without your consent, and follow after you for *lifetimes* then yeah, that's called stalking. I mostly skipped (10 second skip) through the whole banished clan thing. The acting wasn't that great to begin with. And I didn't care that much about the Zihui & Jian storyline at all, which felt disjointed from the rest of the drama anyway. I would try to watch a movie version that actually followed the novel more 1 for 1. Overall the drama is a sweet xianxia with beautiful interconnecting themes and parallels, lots of interesting characters and some character's growth. The main focus is the love story between the leads so it's a nice comfort drama to watch. Not much rewatch value because of the ordinary mystery and all parallels.
Funny, entertaining n still watching. Not sure if it's sad or happy ending
