It was an awesome anime only for "Slice of Life" fans. It started off as a great show but became too much vanilla by the end.

A great Slice of Life for anyone looking for something calm and easygoing. I was specifically searching for a simple anime with little drama or tension, and By the Grace of the Gods turned out to be the perfect choice. It delivers exactly what it promises: a comforting, peaceful story with a gentle tone. The main character is charming, and there are moments when you even forget he’s actually an adult reincarnated into this new world — that’s how soft and wholesome the storytelling is. If you're in the mood for something relaxing, where you don’t have to worry about things going wrong at the end of each episode, this anime is definitely worth watching. I do wish there were more seasons and a bit more progression in the story, especially to follow Ryoma’s growth, but overall, I found the ending satisfying and fitting for the series.

Idk, maybe I am a slice of life guy... Usually an action junkie, but this one had me engaged throughout. Overwhelmingly wholesome, with a great MC. Part of my brain kept looking for the angle on when something tragic was going to happen. That's probably more of a product of the things that I watch, than anything negative to do with the show. Definitely in for more, though I do hope this won't be like The Simpsons without the characters aging. I'm ready to see him grow up and I'm hoping they do a 3-year time skip to when the princess comes back.

For once they don’t immediate age the character out of childhood after being reincarnated. And he’s a slime master too. A great other worldly slice of life adventure with an op kid.
