A fantastic movie that is different to most others I enjoy. It's very lighthearted and although not truly believable just a very fun movie.

I remember watching this back in the day as a kid and thinking "girls dancing at a bar!" and now rewatching this I realize it really wasn't as raunchy as I had remembered. Typical story of a small town girl trying to find her place in the world. Points for having comic book references in it!

I’ve been a huge fan of this movie ever since I was a kid. It’s super nostalgic and a ton of fun. I figured I’d introduce Bekah to this. She enjoyed it but probably not as much as me. But I also have the nostalgia on my side. The characters play their roles perfectly. The soundtrack is excellent. I’ll always enjoy coming back to this one. * Watched the Extended Cut

I remember LOVING this movie at the time, having watched it so many times on cable. I knew it was poppy and trashy and the love had a thick layer of irony behind it. But on a recent rewatch, the cringe was REAL. This movie aged like brie outside on a hot florida summer day. Not even so bad it's good anymore.

It turns out to be the story of a singer.
