...a motion picture for all times!
A depiction of the conflict between King Henry VIII of England and his Lord Chancellor, Sir Thomas More, who refuses to swear the Oath of Supremacy declaring Henry Supreme Head of the Church in England.

A solid costume drama. Nothing really stood out but it is well made. Paul Scofield is great. Robert Shaw was a little over the top.
A pro- Thomas More telling of history. The movie depicts More as a righteous martyr. But glosses over his use of torture and capital punishment against so called heretics. By capital punishment I mean burning people at the stake. It's a great costume drama. Well acted. Great script. I don't know who is more kingly Robert Shaw or Damian Lewis.
