It started OK, but I lost interest after the [spoiler]Nanako plot.[/spoiler]

Film japonais déroutant, parfois glauque, HOMUNCULUS ne laisse personne indifférent. Certains aiment, d'autres détestent et d'autres encore (dont je suis) ne parviennent pas à le juger. Quoi qu'il en soit, son étrangeté m'a vaguement ramenée vers certains films de Cronenberg aussi provocateurs et dérangeants qu'absurdes. Le film est bien interprété et on notera particulièrement la prestation de Ryo Narita (impressionnant) et Go Ayano. À découvrir, au moins par curiosité.

Better watch Ichi the Killer. This adaptation is just dumb and boring.

Like good psychedelics that make you vomit: it's a trip at the beginning and a trip to the toilet about halfway through.

This was a very interesting movie. The subject matter was pretty cool as was the visual interpretation of it. The motivation of the medical student however was a mystery to me (unless I missed something). There's one scene I felt could have been potentially handled differently, but I can understand why it's there. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
