I greatly enjoyed this movie. It really flowed well. The plot was always interesting and never predictable. The story kept moving at a fast pace, which made the whole thing much more entertaining. A nice mix of drama and humor, which depicts the caos that must have reigned in Sicily right after the unification of Italy. The cast performed exceptionally well; I especially enjoyed Guzzanti and Trabacchi's performances. The music was the icing on the cake; an incredible score that improved the mood of the whole movie. The main theme, which you hear at the start, I found particularly good and it sets the scene for the rest of the film remarkably well. If you liked Inspector Montalbano, give this a chance. The humor is quite similar (they are, after all, from the same pen) and the actors are great. 9/10
