Synopsis
Captain Etienne Navarre is a man on whose shoulders lies a cruel curse. Punished for loving each other, Navarre must become a wolf by night whilst his lover, Lady Isabeau, takes the form of a hawk by day. Together, with the thief Philippe Gaston, they must try to overthrow the corrupt Bishop and in doing so break the spell.

Ahhh 80s fantasy films. Music by Alan Parsons what with keyboards doesn’t really fit the time period of the movie. A young looking and humorous Matthew Broderick, a pompous John Wood, a rugged Rutger Hauer, a beautiful (with hawk like features) Michelle Pfeiffer, the early Hollywood days of Alfred Molina and Leo McKern’s finest role resulting in a great cast.

First time i've seen in american movie - tranformation to animal form or back means you have no clothes - most of the time the music didn't fit very well in my opinion pip/aiwa/alias9 rip

Ladyhawke is a visually lush and otherwise decent fantasy flick, but it struggles against two glaring creative choices. Matthew Broderick feels remarkably out of place, delivering a performance that is super distracting and leans a bit too heavily into modern neuroticism for a 12th-century setting. Compounding this is the synth-pop score, which (while catchy in its own right) clashes violently with the film's gothic atmosphere.
