Synopsis
An intimate look into the life of icon Quincy Jones. A unique force in music and popular culture for 70 years, Jones has transcended racial and cultural boundaries; his story is inextricably woven into the fabric of America. Jones came to prominence in the 1950s as a jazz arranger and conductor before working on pop music and film scores. He moved easily between musical genres, producing major pop hits of the early 1960s and serving as an arranger and conductor for several collaborations in the same time period.

Absolute musical icon and legend. This is a must watch. When this fine man passes on, we'll have lost a giant. He is a living legend and a link to a past that is all but overlooked nowadays. His work has been of such a high level for 70+ years that it's hard to even comprehend how much talent he has... I cannot fault the documentary only that it wasn't longer 2ith more of his music perhaps being performed as a mini-concert? 9/10

Quincy Jones is definitely one interesting dude! He's like the ultimate connected guy to everyone since the 1950's. I find his story super interesting. I kind of wish they gave him a straight forward documentary, but I can also see how they also wanted to show how he still has a profound effect on society even today.
