Synopsis
Academy Award-honoree Peter O'Toole stars in this musical classic about a prim English schoolmaster who learns to show his compassion through the help of an outgoing showgirl. Well the 1939 version is better but I still found this quite moving. An analysis of loss, grief and childlessness. WHat sets the '39 movie apart though is the transcendental ending, which this doesn't even try to replicate.

Only got so far with this version, I was spoiled by the classic 1939 version which is far superior
