California, Mojave Desert, 1998. A strange glow appears in the sky. Sam, a forty-something door-to-door salesman, travels through the few inhabited zones of the Californian desert in search of clients.

A delightfully shot horror/mystery/thriller with a killer 80's synth soundtrack that only falls short by it's overt ambiguity and total lack of resolution. Open ended with no conclusion, but a fun ride none the less.
plays like something of a Twilight Zone episode from hell? both in terms of onscreen carnage but also just the relentlessness of it all. fantastic desert setting, synthy score, and Rusty Joiner did a nice job carrying things mostly on his back since there's like 3 people in the movie. remember seeing this when it was added back in the earlier days of shudder launching and it has been on my radar in some fashion since but i only got around to it now. better late than never and all that stuff. can see why this isn't more popular than it is given how obtuse it is but i definitely think it's a bit underappreciated myself.
Felt like a complete waste of time.
