When I first saw this film years ago it truly disturbed me. Over time it has lost that effect on me but it is still a chilling tale. The kind of film where you know not to trust anyone and even when the film is at its happiest there is always something dreadful about to happen.
I believeeee! A good performance from the daddy Sheen! Creepy, strange, and trust no one kinda film.. I like them kinda films.. Funny seeing Harris Yulin... the first thing that came to my mind was XFiles...ha
I don't warm to spiritual type horror, especially stereotyped Caribbean religions. I liked the secret society aspect near the end but it was too late to develop it by then. No real horror after a while. The ending was supposed to be gripping but I thought it was stupid.
