A remote campsite. An abandoned tent. A romantic getaway to die for.
A couple's camping trip turns into a frightening ordeal when they stumble across the scene of a horrific crime.

Effectively suspenseful thriller. Grim, obviously, but a cut above others of its kind. Narratively clever too.
The slowest build-up in the history of this genre. Other than that, this is an outstanding production. I'm not sure about the re-watchability of this movie since over 50% of it's runtime from was spent on that build-up gimmick, and it will not be that surprising after the first time. Hence my rating of 7/10.
2 timelines, survival horror, moral/immoral decisions
The first half is weirdly paced\edited. It's obvious from the start what's going on, but they keep cutting back and forth and being coy about the story. In reality you're just waiting for the movie to catch up with what you already know. The ending makes no sense.
The police is told there's two mass murdering raping child killers and they got hostages, so they send.... two officers? And they're not even being tactical? Just kind of aimlessly walking?
Sigh. And what about
the baby? We see the dog sitting down besides it
, but they never let us know what happened.
