She was the woman of Allen's dreams. She had large dark eyes, a beautiful smile and a great pair of fins.
A successful businessman falls in love with the girl of his dreams. There's one big complication though; he's fallen hook, line and sinker for a mermaid.

I've wanted to watch this film for a while now. Really enjoyed it, good lighthearted fun.
A smart screenplay and some real drama in the film save this project which could have been a disaster, but ends up being a nice piece of entertainment.
Tom Hanks falling in love with a mermaid. The 80s were something else... Daryl Hannah is gorgeous as Madison, the mermaid who shows up in New York looking for the man she saved as a child. Tom Hanks being Tom Hanks, charming, clumsy and adorable. The chemistry works even though the premise is *absurd*.
The ending with him jumping into the water to live with her under the sea is cheesy as hell, but you buy it because you've spent an hour and a half wanting them to end up together.
An 80s romantic comedy that holds up pretty well. Ron Howard knew how to make movies that left you with a good feeling.
I was expecting a cheesy 80s rom com and I found it really delightful and funny. It's perfect for a Sunday afternoon. And it hits you differently if you're lonely at the moment. I see why it's so beloved by people that grew up watching it on cable TV.
Oh Daryl Hannah. What a role she played here. One of my fav's as a kid!
