I have childhood affection for Asterix, so it hurt a bit that this movie left me so cold. The idea of taking them to the Olympic Games had potential, but it stays as a parade of absurd cameos (Zidane, Schumacher...) that don't add anything to the whole. Very uneven humor, there are moments that work, especially if you know the comics, but others fall completely flat. The romantic plot between Alafolix and Irina feels forced and doesn't manage to connect. The best part is the visual aspect, which has an evident production display. But it's not enough to save a script that doesn't know where it's going.
