What happens when you sleep?
After a young, middle-class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic but is certainly the most active in the middle of the night.

What an awful movie. The horrifying story of 2 lovers who refuse to close their bedroom door no matter what happens.
Not to mention the fact that we have to watch countless scenes of these 2 looking around for something the already know can't be seen as though they will spot it behind the shower curtain and a bad ending to top it all off. Steer clear of this movie unless you like movies where nothing happens until the last 10 minutes and then pretty much nothing happens in the final 10.
As someone who loves horror movies (both good and bad and various types).. this is one of the worst and most boring movies I ever witnessed. I do not know how it blew up. It is just basically a youtube kids movie project.... Fishing line opening things from off screen, super obviously fake. I don't think I've ever been so bored in my life watching a movie.... I gave the sequel a chance, since they had a much bigger budget, and it was the exact same thing. Painfully Boring. Skip this franchise.
Finally watched this today, and have to say: it was even worse than I expected. 1/10 rating. Wish I could give it a 0. I don't know how anybody got scared by this movie or found it thrilling. It was an hour and a half of boredom -- pure and complete boredom. The fact that low-effort crap like this gets incredible revenue is just sad.
Yeah…. That was a waste of my time. Scary? Not at all. Interesting characters? Nope. Story? Also no.
**Paranormal Activity (2007)**: *6.8/10* *(Good)* ___ There are some rough patches, but overall, it's not a bad film. “Paranormal Activity” is shot in a found footage format, with believable acting and some effective scares. The film brilliantly capitalizes on the concept that what's scariest isn't often what you see, but what you imagine, and it does so effectively. However, that is about all it has going for it; it is not really terrifying, the story is as ordinary as it possibly could be, and the conclusion leaves a lot to be desired. If you have some time to kill, you probably will not regret checking it out, but I personally don't think it's worth going out of one's way to do so.
