The story of a handful of men in the setting of the American Civil War. _Ride with the Devil_ is an underrated effort with an impressive production and a commendable result. Ang Lee manages, despite the atypical nature of his work compared to others, to reach the heights of the finest films on the subject. Generally excellent acting, noteworthy Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jeffrey Wright in their supporting roles.
