There's more to do in snow than ski.
When a hopeful young American hot-dogger goes pole-to-pole with an arrogant Austrian pro, the snow really starts to fly! But as hot as it is on the mountain, it gets even hotter off when the pro's ex-girlfriend sets her eyes on the new blood. Who'll win the competition and the girl? Only a race to end all races can determine which skier can really cut the mustard!

In a world where PornHub is one of the most heavily visited sites globally, this movie loses all of its 1980s tittilation value and that's the only value that it seems to have had in the first place. The only thing about this film that entertained me is the fact that the NES version of Winter Games by EPYX has an event called "Hot Dog Aerials" whose naming never made sense to me, and this film at least maintains consistency with that game's nomenclature. Unfortunately, I only recommend this film in physical form so that you can use the VHS cover to wipe your butt and use the cassette to make a brush fire more interesting.
I suffered through this entire thing. I can't think of one single redeeming quality. None of the characters were even remotely likeable and it was slow and boring. Bleh. If it didn't have the nudity in it I can't see how anyone would rate it any higher than this unless maybe they were just absolutely obsessed with skiing. This movie is absolute garbage. Also, did I miss something? I have no idea why the title is what it is. If that was revealed somehow somewhere I must have been zoned out in order to be able to make it through.
This is another '80s film that didn't age well, and even at the time, it was poor for a film from that era. Much of the dialogue is insipid, but worse than that, the film begins by pairing the male lead with an underage child as his love interest.
“Hot Dog… The Movie” is a painful exercise in enduring bad filmmaking. The pace is unbearably slow, dragging out scenes that offer nothing but outdated gags and crude humor. The storyline is practically non-existent, and any attempt at a cohesive plot falls flat. There’s zero character development—just a series of poorly written stereotypes bumbling through a thin narrative. It’s as if the filmmakers didn’t care about engaging the audience at all. Overall, this movie is just terrible, a tasteless, uninspired mess with no redeeming qualities. Save yourself the time and skip it.
