_68 Kill_ is a used sports car speeding down the middle of the road. It goes fast and feels good even if it doesn't really go anywhere new. The plot (two lovers rob a john's house) takes back seat to AnnaLynne McCord who is solidly in the driver's seat of this vehicle (why can't she be in more movies!?), and co-star Matthew Gray Gubler has yet to make a bad film. The duo first appeared in the incredible _Excision_ (2012), and while _68 Kill_ doesn't go as deep as that mind fuck, it does go pretty hard thanks to deft directing and a cast that slaps. _68 Kill_ may not take you in a new direction, but it'll take you on one hell of a ride.

One online review compared this to a Tarantino flick... well, if Quentin's films had no style or wit, then that reviewer would have hit the mark. As it is... this movie is trashy and dull. Not awful, just meh!

Really stupid trashy fun. I thought the performances were good. They were meant to be cheesy. It reminded me of Cheap Thrills and I didn't know it had the same writer at first, so I guess that guy has a thing for crazy charcaters and weird ride movies. I don't think this the strongest of the two movies. It got a bit slow in the middle. Basically the formula is that crazy stuff happens and then someone shouts or swears.

If you are looking for a completely unhinged cinematic experience, 68 Kill is an absolute must-watch. This dark comedy crime caper is a wild ride from the very opening scene, pulling you into a chaotic world of heist-gone-wrong madness. The moment Chip and his erratic girlfriend set their robbery plan into motion, the film hits the gas and doesn't let up for a single second. It is a blast of pure adrenaline, packed with bizarre characters, blood-soaked twists, and a relentless energy that will keep you thoroughly entertained until the credits roll.

Odd duck of a film. Feels like bargain Tarantino at times and the casting of Matthew Gray Gubler is a head scratcher. It is a dark comedy thriller with some just insane plot twist or another coming at you every 12 minutes or so. It was WTF enough to stay entertaining, but it wasn't as much fun as you would hope.
