Synopsis
Rose Loomis and her older, gloomier husband, George, are vacationing at a cabin in Niagara Falls. The couple befriend Polly and Ray Cutler, who are honeymooning in the area. Polly begins to suspect that something is amiss between Rose and George, and her suspicions grow when she sees Rose in the arms of another man. While Ray initially thinks Polly is overreacting, things between George and Rose soon take a shockingly dark turn.

_Niagara_ is an often underrated late Film Noir. Cotten was no stranger to noir films, but I think this was one of his best. Though it's not stated the focus on PTSD is especially interesting. Unlike some other color film noir's this isn't all about seeing the scenary (or Monroe), rather the story develops an interesting and different way. This is also my favorite Jean Peter film.

Great film noir with Joseph Cotten and Marilyn Monroe about a cheating wife and her plan to get rid of her husband until things go wrong. One of Monroe’s better pictures that showcases her acting. A great watch

Man murders his wife, then assaults and kidnaps another woman. Oh well, at least the 50s aesthetic is gorgeous.
