Synopsis
This day-in-the-life cult comedy focuses on a group of friends working at Sully Boyar's Car Wash in the Los Angeles ghetto. The team meets dozens of eccentric customers -- including a smooth-talking preacher, a wacky cab driver and an ex-convict -- while cracking politically incorrect jokes to a constant soundtrack of disco and funk. Some of the workers find romance as the day moves along, but most are just happy to get through another shift.

Car Wash is a vibrant, episodic slice of 1970s Los Angeles culture that channels the energy of a non-stop radio broadcast. It is a silly, gritty comedy that is still effective for midnight fun, the perfect late-night watch, capturing a specific era's charm with infectious energy and unapologetic soul.

A fun, feel-good movie that takes place over the course of one day. One of the best 70s film soundtracks, and a great cast of memorable characters. There may not be much of a plot, it may not have much to say, the cinematography may not be top tier, but I still consider it a great piece of entertainment. Easy to recommend for just about anybody looking for a quality 70s comedy.
