[TIFF '25] Using handheld close-up shots, the director depicts Mila's sense of strangeness when she discovers that life has continued without taking her into account. She realizes that she is a figure as indispensable as she is easily dispensable. Despite a certain predictability, she manages to construct a character who captures the dissatisfaction of her reunion with what seemed like her true home. The film feels more secure in its visual calligraphy than in the narrative of an uneven script, but it raises interesting reflections on the concept of home and social differences.
