Stereotypical storyline that’s been done numerous times before. At some point it’s no longer funny. Most of the jokes are so old they fell flat.
Old school movie. It is better than the crap 2026 has produced so far. If you want some cheap fun this is a movie to watch.
On the positive side, this movie is solidly made. But other than that, it is just naive, in inspires with flat and clichéd humour, predictable and anything else you can image if filmmakers do not want to take any risk of offering anyone or creating the slightest controversy. Just boring and lame for the most of it. Watch "Uncle Buck" (1989) instead for a similar movie with some soul and this miles better.
A Simple Good TỈme.The Breadwinner Îs exactly what it presents itself as - a warm, unpretentious family comedy that delivers modest pleasures without ever reaching beyond them. It is familar terrltory handled competently, and for audiences seeking exactly that, it delivers with enough consistency to justify the runtime.
I went to see this with my girlfriend. I figured this would be a great movie to see with her considering she has 3 kids herself. I thought it was funny enough. I enjoyed it and she did too. The heart was the in the right place. It was expectedly very silly and over the top. This was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be and that’s enough. If you’re a family man or a mom I’d say there’s definitely something for you to enjoy here. * Double Feature at AMC Crestwood 18 with Bekah
