Magic Crystal is a surprisingly good time. Lots of fun, highly choreographed fight scenes, tied together with a story of questionable quality, but what do you expect? It is a Wong Jing film after all… Anyway…I had fun, and the E.T./Indiana Jones wannabe story didn't bother me, as the fights were very good. Andy Lau was very good, but I wish we had seen a bit more of Cynthia Rothrock, as she is the reason I wanted to see this, but what we got were quite good, so it didn't matter too much. Might not be for everyone, but if you like HK action, you will probably enjoy Magic Crystal.

Silly, goofy fun with a great cast and some really good fights. Once in a while Wong Jing gets it right.
