Synopsis
Upon discovery of a shard of what could be the Loc-Nar, a miner named Tyler becomes possessed with an insatiable hunger for power and a thirst for immortality. On his way to the planet of youth, Tyler wipes out most of a space colony and kidnaps a beautiful young woman. His only mistake is that he doesn't kill her sister, Julie, who then sets out on a mission of rescue and revenge.

A complete abomination. I wouldn't say they wrecked the legacy of the original but they sure as hell tried.

Uninteresting plot, mediocre voice acting, only alright sound track. Animations aren't very impressive, and a weird mishmash of drawing and CGI. Not nearly sexy enough to make up for its shortcomings.

I can't recall many movies as boring or as dull as this one. I think what struck me the most was the awful music and the accompanying lyrics. So bad! I'm a lover of Rock music and this was so generic. The animation was rarely good and the early CGI inserted throughout was unnecessary.

This is a tedious, shrieky, muddled, unfortunate project. Shouldn't a Heavy Metal movie be goofy, blushing, guilty-pleasure fun? There is no fun here, alas.
