Honestly, I'd expect more action with a movie named Frantic. In the end, it looked like Americans with bad French were trying to communicate with Frenchmen with bad English.
This was okay. Weird I didn't know about this, being a Harrison Ford and Romance Polanski movie. Something about his movies never quite do it for me. Other than Chinatown I think. Anyway I have a few questions about this movie. And I'm not a fan of how this movie treats the female character. Also, the macguffin is kind of hilarious, a nuclear bomb detonator called a krypton (yup) that looks like part of a firecracker.
Frantic should have been a tense, paranoid thriller, but it’s too slow, not suspenseful enough, and dragged down by a terrible plot. Harrison Ford gives a surprisingly flat performance, and for a Polanski film, it barely feels like one. Not awful, just disappointingly bland.
An excellent and fascination movie that makes you wonder in the first half what is going on. Great
