It wasn't scary as I was hoping to start off October. The jump-scares didn't get me at all; I don't know if it was the timing or what but they were all off. The story was fine and I liked the acting. Mawar's
charmed/possessed personality
was unsettling and that was the best part of the movie for me. I also liked the cinematography. Although, I think
they should have used more of the shots as Restu's POV.
In my opinion, it would have added to the creepy atmosphere if it was shown that he was constantly watching and getting so close to them.
I was also hoping that Vey was secretly in love with Mawar. She was not 😔. Which was disappointing but Mawar choosing to her dead "boyfriend" in the end completely diminishes the friendship aspect of the film for me.
