An under-rated remake with a fine cast.

Jeff Bridges has a strange way of experimenting.

Esse filme não merece uma resenha detalhada. Não sabia que o filme era uma adaptação americana de um filme europeu, apenas caí em um vídeo no TikTok sobre o filme, que me fez ficar curiosa. Bem, a história é cheia de personagens burros e bobocas, menos a Diane, que se foi logo. O vilão é um dos piores que eu já vi, a motivação é ridícula e sua história é ridiculamente sem sentido. Rita me pareceu tão louca e perturbada quanto Barney, a cena dela vestida igual a Diane foi de arrepiar de tanta vergonha alheia. O Jeff é apenas um personagem fraco, a obsessão em saber o que aconteceu com Diane o dominou, ele virou um poço de burrice e lamentação, apenas serviu nos últimos momentos do filme. Seguir em frente? Sigam em frente, mas eu teria feito desse limão uma limonada.

A good and creepy psycho-thriller movie with an excellent cast. A woman (Bullock) disappears and her boyfriend (Sutherland) becomes obsessed by finding out what happened. On the other side, there is Jeff Bridges, who did it, but we do not get to know what exactly until the end. While this movie is solid and not bad, there is a 1988 Dutch-French original of this movie that is just better. Better storytelling and a more real feeling to it... and the remake couldn't help de Hollywood ending, that kinda just ruins it all. Watch both and compare.

Watched this movie as a recommendation of a friend and I really enjoyed it. Good solid thriller but couldn't work out who the antagonist was, and when I realised, biggest shock of the whole film. Solid work with a great cast.
