[Filmin] The director joins the trend of new filmmakers of being inspired by their childhood to tell a rural story with the usual contrast between a character who arrives from the city and another who wants to escape from the countryside. Using elements of magical realism, it works better in the former than in the latter, because it fails to smoothly incorporate the fantastical tone with the realistic description. The use of non-professional actors doesn't help either, not because they don't know how to perform, but because they are not well directed, nor its resemblance to other films like "Alcarràs."
