As a big true crime fan I'm loving all these docuseries from Netflix recently. I just think they could be a bit shorter. This dragged at times and could have been like two hours shorter. But I liked that they covered most of the theories about what happened and didn't just focus on the parents. Which I kinda feared would happen after it came out that the McCanns were gonna sue them.
Very interesting series, I went in believing that her parents were the ones who did it (after reading about it when the news originally broke via the media), but after this docuseries, I'm beginning to change my mind. It's a good series for those who don't know much about the case, and it presents a lot of different theories and explanations from both sides (though I feel it does lean more towards sympathizing with the McCanns). Some random parts thrown in there about the town itself and other things that aren't particularly even about Madeleine's case necessarily, which we could have probably done without to be honest. Overall a well-made interesting series.
It's ridiculous how much biased this documentary is. It's super protective of the parents when there are too many contradictions in their statements.
This was so, so, so long and focused on so many things that weren't about the case.
i've researched this case too much and too deeply to be able to comment on this.
