A harem-esque anime where the main character actually chooses a girl. So rare and so enjoyable. I watched it in one sitting, so it kept my attention. Nothing too deep. Great ligh heated watch.
It was a good anime with a decent plot but the action scenes were a little too generic which didn't caught my interest that much.
Man, I just keep finding bangers left and right! This one was great, the MC was cool and not the typical 'scared to talk or interact with females' protagonist. He was confident and self-assured with some moments of doubt, just like a regular person. Some elite fight scenes mixed with some generic ones, but I will say this....every single character's animation for pulling out their weapon was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, it was almost like a video game. Also, there is one character whose attribute was lightning you meet towards the end (Toudou Touka), and the dichotomy between her normal personality and her fighting personality was just dope... I was really happy that they showed the other side to her, it made her feel like a real character with depth. There are several other great side characters, though not all of them were fleshed out in these 12 episodes. Alice, in particular, was such an outstandingly written friend. This show really deserves more, but I see it aired originally in 2015 so I guess we're not getting anything else unfortunately...
Actually this was quite good. It had a very typical ecchi and harem start in the first 6 episodes, but then it actually pulled some solid character and relationship development. And instead of giving into the harem, the main character actually focuses on one relationship. Of course, they introduce new side-chicks almost every episode, but there were some interesting stories mixed in. There wasn't nearly as much sex appeal as you would imagine, honestly there was more nudity in mainstream Anime like Food Wars than in this. Some of the animation also was kind of like a watered-down version of Demonslayer swordplay, which is saying a lot since thats an incredibly high standard to live up to. This was just a solidly entertaining Anime to watch, I zoomed right through the episodes and I kinda wish there was a second season to at least finish the tournament.
Even though it might seem like a lewd ecchi anime from the pictures, it’s definitely not. The story is really interesting, in my opinion. It’s criminally underrated, especially considering the decision not to make a second season. Sadly, many anime from 2014–2015 suffered the same fate, but it still leaves me disappointed. Since this is based on a light novel and not a manga, I’ll never get to explore more of the story, as light novels just aren’t for me.
