Friday Night Lights ist eine US-amerikanische Fernsehserie, die auf dem gleichnamigen Buch und dem gleichnamigen Film basiert. Peter Berg, der Regisseur des Filmes, ist für die Entwicklung der Serie verantwortlich. Die Serie, die insgesamt auf fünf Staffeln kommt, wurde von 2006 bis 2011 auf dem amerikanischen Fernsehsender NBC gezeigt. In Deutschland strahlte TNT Serie Friday Night Lights von 2009 bis 2013 aus.

This might possibly be my favourite TV Drama ever. Coach Taylor might just be the most upstanding man to ever appear on our TV screen.
Very good show, keeps you wanting more. In today's market it would never be able to maintain the connection to god, country and friendships that occurred. That is sad, because it was and is a morally and ethically great show.
Very few shows can pull at my heartstrings like this one does. You can't help but fall in love with it.
Arguably my favorite "long runtime" drama I have ever watched, Friday Night Lights will appeal to most everyone in one way or another. There are so many characters, all who have so much varying depth and are really able to relate and connect to. Sure this is a "football" show. But it's also a family show. It's a show that focuses on all walks of life and really tries to dive into everyone individually. Every character evolves drastically over the five seasons, including Coach Taylor who is the pinnacle of any role model that was ever on television. He puts everyone before himself, even while the story backs him into tough situations, and the audience witnesses how he does what is best for everyone around him. The first season is my favorite season of any show I have every watched, but afterwards the story remains of equal caliber. Average Season Review: 8.8/10 Recommendation - Must See (for Everyone)
