Season 1 started out OK, halfway through the season it starts to get silly. Sophomoric best describes season 2, which repelled me from watching season 3. A few bong hits might make it tolerable ;-)
Nice job, to the folks involved! Thank you. I certainly started slow. The first four to five episodes didn't hold much promise, but something was certainly building. It's a bit dry at times, a bit corny with a great kiwi sense of humor. The ending is pure fireworks (maybe even water-works for some). All in all... glad I stayed with it!
Fantastic concept, writing and acting! I will always be sad it didn't last...but I also thought the bed-hopping was over the top. And the third season royally screwed over the best couples of the show. Probably one of the best shows for the story line and acting in the last 3 years! I'm glad though that SyFy picked it up for syndication. :)
Fantastic show that has a ridiculous sounding premise, but is of great value to watch. Characters are really watch-able and drive the story. The show reminds me of Joss Whedon's work, where despite the setting, the show is very much about the characters. If you don't watch this, then you should
watched in 2011 and fell in love with the quirky twist to North mythology. It started off with a great season 1 which had plot, good to great acting, charachter development and decent laughs. Season 2 was enjoyable and tried to build up on S1 but lost a bit of steam. I have no idea what the aim was with S3 and while watchable the story seemed much weaker, convoluted and too focussed on the female storyline instead of the brothers. if you enjoyed Supernatural and the dynamic between brothers Dean & Sam then you will love it in this show too but unfortunately the focus shifted from the brothers in S3 and overall the season was avergae towards the end. I miss this show and wanted it to continue a little longer or atleast for it to have ended on a high note. Give it a chance and you may just like it all or atleast enjoy S1 and S2. os Too many shows end badly this ended well but it was still a low note. ebd
