Good story but you have to pay attention cause a lot happens. Love the odd comedic bits they throw in. Why does anyone pay to read these rags? Stop buying their paper and they will go out of business!!
Great casting and a good adaptation of an important story. Loved David Tennant's performance, witty, emotional, and dedicated! I for one really enjoyed the fourth wall breaking, the humour was a nice way of counterweighting the serious tone. Episodes 2 and 4 were really weak though in part because they do not fit the narrative style of the rest of the show. Still, a solid watch!
This story deserved better. Why does the main character choose to break the fourth wall? It completely undermines the seriousness of the story. There were also some humorous twists that were not very successful. Robert Carlyle was very convincing in the Dave Cook subplot.
Why are the wigs so bad??
Highly recommended. If you're unfamiliar with the story, you'll need to pay close attention to the details. Everything matters, and there's a reason for everything that gets shown.
