Nicely narrated common knowledge. Beautiful pictures but almost nothing new to learn from it. Perfect for people who lived under a rock all of their lives. What a pity.
This was so poorly written that even Morgan Freeman's voice couldn't save it. The script tried so hard to be deep that it ended up sounding stupid and even wrong on some occasions. It just tried to dress up well known obvious things in a word salad, also must have said big bang like 50times in one episode. I don't know if the target audience was elementary school kids or what. I really love documentaries, never rated one as low as this before but this was really hard to watch. At least the CGI was good.
This feels like they wanted to make a hybrid of Carl Sagan's Cosmos and Dynasties. It ends up with many buzzwords, coated in CGI and sound design.
