Samuel M. Raimi ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmemacher. Er ist vor allem als Regisseur der ersten drei Filme der Tanz-der-Teufel-Reihe (seit 1981) und der Spider-Man-Trilogie (2002–2007) mit Tobey Maguire in der Titelrolle bekannt.
Seine Filme sind bekannt für ihren dynamischen visuellen Stil, der von Comics und Slapstick inspiriert ist. Er gründete 1979 die Produktionsfirmen Renaissance Pictures und 2002 Ghost House Pictures. Raimi hat außerdem mehrere erfolgreiche Fernsehserien produziert, darunter Hercules (1995-1999), dessen Spin-off Xena (1995-2001) und Ash vs Evil Dead (2015-2018) mit seinem langjährigen Freund und Mitarbeiter Bruce Campbell, der seine Rolle aus der Tanz-der-Teufel-Reihe wieder aufnimmt.
