I can’t believe how generous people are being about this movie…it absolutely sucked. Not the actors faults, they did fine - but the script was absolutely rubbish, generic and predictable. And the dialogue and action scenes were woeful. It’s too bad to even be called a guilty pleasure

It's a good genx action movie. Though perhaps that's not what I should call it. saving the kids in danger is more a 90s thing as supposed to saving the wife/lover plot. Still, very much looking forward to the sequel.

Back in Action aims to bring together the star power of Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx in a lighthearted action-comedy. Fans of Diaz and Foxx might appreciate seeing them reunite on-screen, but the movie doesn’t fully capitalize on their talents. It’s an easy weekend watch, but not one that leaves a lasting impression.

This is a good movie to pass the time with some popcorn and the kids. Cameron and Jamie are good in their return to acting. And also good for Foxx before his stroke.

Sure, it's got that glossy clean Netflix sheen. And the spy story is completely inconsequential. But it knows exactly what it is, and it's all the better for it. The action is unconvincing but fun. The family story is actually pretty sweet. Most importantly, Fox & Diaz are great together. At 19:40 you can see that Emily has her daughter's number saved as "Alice Reynolds" lmao >"So, should we hug or something?" "No, no, no. I'm British. We don't hug. But you can pick up that dead bird."
