I honestly have an overwhelming amount of love for Olivia Rodrigo and her music. She is so freaking talented and she's only 19. This documentary/concert video did a really good job of providing slight backstories to all the songs on Sour and did an even better job at choosing the locations where Olivia performed her hits. Seeing the songs performed in different places from the beach, to the back of a pickup truck, to what looked like a deserted airplane yard, each location had me immersed even more in the atmosphere of the music and Olivia's vocal delivery. And was that an unreleased song we heard at the end? Just a prediction but I do think she is an artist to watch out for, she's already made it big. Here's anxiously waiting to see what album two brings to the table.

Loved the music, the behind the scenes, and the locations choices, but the pacing, editing and whole aesthetic was just not for me.

When it comes to music/concert films there is obviously going to be a certain level of bias attached to a review and I recognise that that may well be the case here. I just think something must be said for the fact that Olivia didn't just merely perform the songs but a lot of them had vastly different arrangements that got to showcase her musical prowess. I found it really interesting to hear some of the back stories to these songs even though nothing was really shocking or anything but it is nice to get a bit of a further glimpse in to what inspires someone to write the songs that they have.
